Subscribe to a tier — say 25 record reads, or 2,000 chats — and that many are yours each month. The count resets on your billing day — the day of the month you first subscribed — and what you didn't use doesn't carry over. When a month's allowance runs out the tool pauses and points you to the portal — nothing is ever charged without you clicking. The records storefront — a shareable page for every record and the browsable grid, hosted by us or embedded on your site — comes with either plan at no extra charge.
Founder pricing, locked for life
The top tier of Vinyl Intake and of Vinnie — 40 reads, or 3,000 chats, $100 a month — is founder pricing for our first shops. The price you subscribe at is the price you keep for as long as you hold the plan, whatever new shops pay later. Founder pricing closes once the founding cohort is full.

Questions shops ask
Can I hold both plans?
Yes — one reads plan and one chats plan. Pick both at signup or add the second later from your portal. Each is its own subscription, so you can change or cancel one without touching the other.
What happens when I run out?
The tool pauses and points you to the portal, where you can move up a tier. We never charge for anything you didn't click.
Is the storefront extra?
No. Every vinyl plan includes the records storefront — we host the record pages, and the grid embeds on your own site with one line.
Can a real person take over from Vinnie?
Yes. While someone from your shop is on the live chat screen in the portal, they can read Vinnie's chats as they happen and take one over at any time, and customers see a Talk to a human button to ask for someone. Once your staff have the chat, Vinnie goes quiet, and when you hand it back he carries on knowing what was said. If a customer asks and nobody's free, Vinnie keeps the chat. It's off until you want it: tell us and we'll switch it on for your shop. What a customer types during a live chat counts toward your chats, same as any other message.
